Rock Haven Fest 2025

Rock Haven Fest is a bouldering competition open to climbers of all abilities. This annual event has become the premier climbing event each August, drawing climbers from all over the Pacific NW and farther afield. 

Join us for a day of bouldering, food, beverages, vendor tables, prizes for categories, and CASH PRIZES for top finalists.

How do I choose my session and category?

The Youth Rec session is a great, low-key chance to try a community comp for ages 7-12.

Sessions One and Two are both open to all competitors. 

Choose

• Recreational if you are regularly climbing Red, Orange and Yellow in the gym (V0-V2)
• Intermediate if you regularly climb Green, Blue and Purple (V3-V6)
• Advanced if you regularly climb Pink, White and Black (V6-V7+)
• Open if you regularly climb Pink and higher and want a chance at competing in the finals round

Your top FIVE climbs are scored. Attempts are used to break ties. Prizes are awarded to top three Male, Female and Non Binary climbers in the Rec, Int and Adv categories. Podiums are announced during intermission after Session Two (around 6:45pm once scores are tallied)

Can I volunteer at the comp?

Yes please! In order to make this all happen, we need volunteers, primarily judges during Sessions One and Two. Judges are “line leaders” for the most part, keeping scorecards in order and calling out the next climber so that everyone gets a turn on all of their desired climbs. Judges are also watching climbers and tallying an attempt or initialling for completion, but we also have multiple staff and setters on the floor to help with any technical questions. No experience necessary and it is a fun and low-key way to be involved. Sign up at the same registration link because we need you!

Food and beverages

Climb, spectate, cheer on friends and community members. We are opening up our back parking lot for food, a beer garden and hanging out between sessions. We’ll have a food truck on site starting during Session Two and staying through Finals. Beer, hard cider, cold brew coffee and other beverages are available for purchase at Rock Haven.
